Napoleon's Coronation

Today is a glorious day in history! On December 2nd, 1804, Napoleon crowned himself emperor of France. He was only thirty-five years old - relatively young for an emperor. Napoleon was an amazing leader who created the second-largest empire in history (after Adolf Hitler) and developed the Napoleonic Code, a system of laws that still forms the basis for France's legal system today.
